This 1-Owner 1976 Mercedes Benz 450 SL has only ~ 44k original miles (Well Documented), with the beautiful Maple Yellow Paint and gorgeous caramel color interior with the dark brown soft top. The hard top is original, and it is in excellent condition. This car has been an authentic and family-owned automobile for decades. Completely original, well maintained, documented (available upon request), and garaged its entire life in gorgeous Modesto, California.

The Mercedes color code 606 G, Maple Yellow was introduced in the early 70s and retired in 1979. It is, today, what we call a ‘period color’. The seventies were a time for wild colors from many German car manufacturers, including Porsche, BMW, Volkswagen, and Mercedes. While Maple Yellow isn’t as ‘loud’ as, say, Porsche’s ‘Viper Green’ or even Mercedes’ own Sun Yellow (code 680) or Caledonia Green (code 867), it does make a statement when it pulls up in front of you. It was a reasonably popular color for W114 / 115 cars and early W1123 chassis cars.
